MG Motor Australia is one of the fastest-growing automotive brands in Australia. With an expanding product portfolio and dealer network, we are seeking an experienced General Manager, Aftersales to lead our national Aftersales operations and support the next phase of growth.

This is a senior leadership role focused on dealer performance, customer experience, and warranty cost control, while also providing technical oversight and sound judgement on complex Aftersales matters.

About the Role

The General Manager, Aftersales will have end-to-end responsibility for MG Motor Australia’s Aftersales function, including dealer Aftersales performance, customer satisfaction, warranty management, parts operations, and technical governance.

The primary focus of this role is to drive strong dealer outcomes, improve customer experience (CSI), and ensure disciplined warranty and cost management. In addition, the role will operate as a technical authority, providing informed oversight and decision-making support on complex product, quality, and warranty issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute the national Aftersales strategy aligned with MG Motor Australia’s business objectives.
• Drive Aftersales performance across the dealer network, with a strong focus on service quality, customer satisfaction (CSI), and operational consistency.
• Build strong, collaborative relationships with dealers, supporting capability uplift and sustainable performance improvement.
• Own the end-to-end Aftersales customer experience, including the management of escalated customer complaints and sensitive cases.
• Lead warranty policy implementation, claims governance, and cost control, ensuring compliance with Australian Consumer Law and internal standards.
• Oversee parts operations, including availability, inventory management, and supply efficiency.
• Provide technical oversight and sound judgement on complex warranty, quality, and product-related Aftersales matters.
• Act as a senior escalation point for technical and quality issues, working with regional and global technical teams where required.
• Manage Aftersales budgets, forecasting, and performance reporting.
• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing Aftersales leadership team.

About You

You are a senior Aftersales leader with a strong track record in dealer management, customer experience, and warranty cost control within the automotive industry. You are commercially astute, customer-focused, and comfortable operating at executive level in a fast-paced environment.

You will bring:

• A minimum 10 years of leadership experience in Aftersales within an automotive OEM or a large dealer network.
• Strong capability in dealer performance management, CSI improvement, and warranty governance.
• Solid technical or engineering foundation, enabling you to operate as a technical authority in complex Aftersales situations.
• Sound commercial and financial acumen, including budget ownership and cost control.
• Good understanding of Australian Consumer Law and Aftersales compliance requirements.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience with EVs and emerging vehicle technologies will be highly regarded.
