  • Maintain valuation assumptions and pricing methodologies aligned with market conditions.
  • Provide clear, defensible valuation recommendations to Finance, Legal and senior management.

Buyback Feasibility & Commercial Assessment

  • Assess the commercial viability of buyback cases, including estimated resale or auction value, reconditioning, logistics and disposal costs and net recovery outcomes
  • Prepare buyback feasibility assessments and Go/No-Go recommendations.
  • Support Finance and Legal teams on buyback decisions arising from customer complaints, disputes or legal matters.

Remarketing & Auction Management

  • Manage the disposal of buyback and fleet return vehicles via approved auction and wholesale channels (e.g. Manheim, Pickles).
  • Oversee vehicle preparation, listing, auction pricing and settlement.
  • Monitor auction performance, clearance rates and recovery outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve recovery value and reduce disposal cycle times.

Supplier & Channel Management

  • Manage relationships with auction houses, logistics providers and vehicle preparation suppliers.
  • Review supplier performance, fees and service standards.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procurement, financial and audit requirements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Reporting

  • Work closely with Finance, Legal, Aftersales, Fleet and Network teams.
  • Prepare regular reporting on buyback volumes, recovery outcomes and remarketing efficiency.
  • Support internal and HQ reporting related to residual value and buyback exposure.

Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years’ experience in used vehicle remarketing, fleet management, leasing, auction or residual value roles.
  • Strong understanding of the Australian used vehicle and auction market.
  • Proven experience in vehicle valuation and commercial assessment.
  • Strong analytical capability and sound commercial judgement.
  • Ability to work independently and make objective, evidence-based recommendations.
  • Experience within a leasing company, fleet operator, OEM or major auction house is highly desirable
