About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Parts Dealer & Logistics Specialist to join our Parts & Accessories team. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient operation of our supply chain, dealer support, inventory management, and logistics functions across New Zealand.
As the key liaison between dealers, suppliers, logistics providers, and internal teams, you will play an essential role in maintaining the seamless flow of automotive parts and accessories while delivering exceptional dealer support and service.
Key Responsibilities
Dealer Support & Administration
Provide Tier 1 support to the dealer network via email and telephone.
Handle dealer enquiries regarding parts availability, ETAs, backorders, and order status.
Interpret automotive parts requirements and provide accurate recommendations.
Process local supplier invoices and dealer credit requests.
Coordinate and manage Vehicle Off Road (VOR) orders, ensuring urgent parts are sourced and delivered promptly.
Provide general administrative support to the Parts & Accessories team as required.
Logistics & Shipments
Coordinate and track shipments between Australia and New Zealand.
Manage inbound air and sea freight shipments from suppliers, proactively monitoring delivery timelines and resolving delays.
Work closely with freight providers and warehouse partners to ensure efficient inventory flow and parts availability.
Inventory Management
Procure and dispatch Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) kits for all new vehicle arrivals in New Zealand.
Monitor national accessory inventory levels and forecast demand to minimise backorders.
Maintain optimal stock availability across the dealer network.
Build strong working relationships with warehouse and logistics providers to ensure inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
Dealer Relationship Management
Act as the first point of contact for dealer support enquiries through the parts support inbox.
Provide technical assistance, resolve order-related issues, and coordinate solutions with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Investigate, process, and resolve dealer credit enquiries efficiently and accurately.
Deliver outstanding customer service while strengthening dealer partnerships.
Cross-Regional Support
Provide operational support to the Australian Parts Team during periods of leave or increased workload.
Assist with dealer support enquiries and inbound shipment management to ensure continuity of service across both markets.
About You
Previous experience in automotive parts, dealership parts operations, or automotive logistics.
Strong understanding of automotive parts interpretation and inventory management.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience using ERP, DMS, WMS, SAP, or similar systems is highly regarded.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM Sydney Time (AEST/AEDT), supporting New Zealand operations during 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM Auckland Time (NZST/NZDT).
