Job Description

We are looking for a passionate Technical Trainer to join our team and support the development of technical capability across our national dealership network. This is an exciting opportunity to work with the latest automotive technologies, including EV and hybrid vehicles, while making a meaningful impact on the performance and success of our dealer partners. As a Technical Trainer, you will design, develop and deliver engaging technical and non-technical training programs that equip our internal teams and dealership staff with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed.

 

About the Role

  • Deliver engaging technical and non-technical training programs, both in person and online.
  • Develop, review and maintain high-quality training materials and course content.
  • Manage and support our online learning platform, including learner administration and training records.
  • Assist in the planning and coordination of the national training schedule.
  • Conduct training needs analysis and maintain training documentation and reporting.
  • Review and continuously improve training programs, materials and delivery methods.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and deliver training solutions aligned to business needs.
  • Support dealerships in meeting training policies, procedures and compliance requirements.
  • Liaise with external training providers where required.
  • Assist in the development of technical documentation and training content for new vehicle models.
  • Maintain training facilities and equipment to ensure a safe and effective learning environment.
  • Stay up to date with emerging automotive technologies and industry best practice.

 

About You

  • An Automotive Mechanical or Automotive Electrical Trade Qualification.
  • Demonstrated experience working with EV and hybrid vehicle technology.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in an automotive technical training role.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostics and repair procedures.
  • Excellent presentation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with a broad range of stakeholders, including remote teams.
  • A proactive, organised and accountable approach with a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Dealership experience will be highly regarded.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) is desirable.
